A community based labor of love.
In 2010, Karen Chisum stumbled upon the Central Valley’s craving for local, handcrafted goods.
A simple gift of a handmade framed metal letter led Karen to establish the online shop, Studio 6, followed by the brick and mortar, Vintage on Fourth. By collaborating with local creators, Karen carved out a place known by shoppers for unique goods they couldn’t find anywhere else.
In the process, she formed a space for crafters, builders, painters, and weekend workers to showcase their talents to the world. The Foundry Cooperative finds Karen going back to her roots and tapping into what she’s most passionate about, being a matchmaker for lovers of all things unique and the artisans who express themselves through what they create.
